The INFORMS Journal on Computing (JOC) is a quarterly that publishes papers in the intersection of operations research (OR) and computer science (CS). Most papers contain original research, but we also welcome special papers in a variety of forms, including Feature Articles on timely topics, Expository Reviews making a comprehensive survey and evaluation of a subject area, and State-of-the-Art Reviews that collect and integrate recent streams of research. All papers are refereed.
ICS maintains a moderated email list at computing-society@list.informs.org Contents of this list, including the Chair's monthly news email, are archived here
ICS now has a blog that we will use to publish news and updates at ICS events Check it out here
The OR-CS list
"The need for an electronic bulletin board or a forum to ask questions, discuss issues pertaining to the interface of operations research and computer science has been recognized for some time. A few years back Oklahoma State University Computer Center agreed to sponsor a list for this purpose. The list has been quite popular. There are over 600 members representing 18 countries. This article first describes the list, how to subscribe to it, etc. Then it answers some questions that have been posed to me frequently by the list subscribers. I hope this will facilitate your use of the list. I certainly do not mean to insult your intelligence. The intent is to clarify some questions that keep coming up frequently."
