Student members represent the future of the ICS Community. The best way for you to make connections and have fun is to get yourself involved!

Top 10 Ways for Students to Get Involved in ICS
  1. Attend our Business Meetings (next one at the INFORMS Fall meeting in Washington DC).
  2. Present a paper or organize a session in the ICS Track at an INFORMS meeting, or at the ICS Conference (next one in January 2009).
  3. Contact a Project Leader to ask if you can help.
  4. Read the INFORMS Journal on Computing, and submit papers to it.
  5. Submit a paper for the ICS Student Paper Award.
  6. Get involved with COIN-OR: submit software or review.
  7. Invite an ICS member to speak at your school.
  8. Submit a news item for the ICS monthly email report.
  9. Blog away on the new ICS Blog.
  10. Rejoin ICS next year (and stay on our mailing list).
